Dr. Alex is Director, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Training Program at Hines VA Hospital and Director, Medical and Respiratory Intensive Care Units at Loyola University Medical Center. His research focus is hypoventilation syndromes and rehabilitation and COPD. He has received funding from National Institutes of Health. Dr. Alex is the author of many journal articles.
