PROFILE

Dr. Janice Gilden is a physician in Medical Service, Endocrinology Section at North Chicago VA Medical Center. She also holds the appointment of Professor of Medicine at the Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School. She has a great interest in the topics of Diabetes Mellitus, Women's Health, and Aging and the Endocrine System and has conducted much research in these three areas. In addition, Dr. Gilden has participated in many clinical trial research studies that tested new pharmaceuticals in the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus. Dr. Gilden has funded her research through grant awards from the American Diabetes Association, National Institutes of Health, VA Health Services Research and Development, Boehringer Mannheim Pharmaceuticals, Ciba Geigy, Robert Wood Johnson Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals, and many other sources. She is prolific author with articles published in many scientific and medical journals.
