PROFILE

Dr. Laghi is a physician in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Section at Hines VA Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Laghi’s research program focuses on Respiratory Muscle Function and Mechanical Ventilation. He has funded his research through grants from a variety of funding sources including VA Merit Review, American Lung Association, and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Laghi is a prolific author with articles detailing his research results in several scientific journals. Dr. Laghi is a member of the Editorial Board for American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. In addition, he is a manuscript reviewer for Chest and European Respiratory Journal. Dr. Laghi is a Fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians.
