W. EDWIN LANGBEIN, PhD
Dr. Langbein is a Research Health Scientist at Hines VA Hospital and Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. His research interests include cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation and exercise physiology. Dr. Langbein’s primary research focus is on the benefits of exercise in the treatment of veterans with heart and/or lung disease. Grants from several sources such as VA Health Services Research and Development and VA Rehabilitation Research and Development and AMVETS of Illinois have funded his research program. Dr. Langbein has published in several scientific journals.
