PROFILE

Dr. Azad is a staff physician in the Endocrinology and Diabetes Section at Hines VA Hospital. Her research focuses on aging, osteoporosis, Diabetes Mellitus, gonadal insufficiency, and aging males. Dr. Azad has received funding from the American Diabetes Association, Illinois AMVETS Association, VA Career Development, and VA Merit Review. She has written about her research results in many medical and scientific journal articles. Dr. Azad is a member of several professional organizations such as The Endocrine Society, Society of Neuroscience, and American Diabetes Association. In addition, she serves as a reviewer for the journals Endocrinology, Endocrine, and The American Journal of Physiology: Endocrine and Metabolism. For more information, click here.
