JAY PERLMAN, MD, PhD
Dr. Perlman is the Assistant Chief, Ophthalmalogy Section, Surgery Service at Hines VA Hospital and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Pathology at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Perlman’s research interests lie in ophthalmic pathology, retinal ischemia, and retinal prostheses. Grants from the National Institute of Health, VA Merit Review, and private industry have funded his research program. Dr. Perlman has published numerous articles detailing the findings of his research.
Dr. Perlman is a Diplomate, National Board of Medical Examiners and a Diplomate, American board of Ophthalmology. He is the 1992 recipient of the NIH National Research Service Award.
