Dr. Popli is Chief, Renal and Hypertension Section at Hines VA Hospital and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. The focus of Dr. Popli’s research is dialysis ascites, hyperosmolality and hyperglycemia in patients with renal insufficiency and dialysis, hypertension, and uremic pericarditis. Dr. Popli has participated in clinical trials that test new pharmaceuticals for the treatment of hypertension and urinary tract infections. She has funded her research program through grants from sources such as Pfizer Company, and Smith-Kline and French, Inc. Dr. Popli is the author of over 26 journal articles and book chapters.
