MICHAEL A. VALENTINO, RPh, MHSA
Since 1997, Mr. Valentino has held the position of Associate Chief Consultant, Pharmacy Benefits Management Strategic Health Care Group at Hines VA Hospital. Prior to accepting this appointment, Mr. Valentino was the the Director of Primary Care and the Chief of Pharmacy Service at the VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Valentino is an authority in Formulary Management and is asked several times each to present on this subject. He has recently spoken at the Strategic Planning Conference for VISN 21, VISNs 18 &19, and VISN 4. He also addressed the HSR&D Annual Meeting, Pfizer VA Healthcare Partnership Meeting, as well as the Boston University School of Public Health Board of Visitors.
His research interests include pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research and formulary management.
