The Chicago Association for Research and Education in Science is dedicated to improving the health and health care of US Veterans through research and education.
The Veteran population at each of our sites is aging and while they suffer from the same diseases as the general population it is at a much higher rate. Our younger Veterans are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with complex combat-related injuries including, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury. And our growing women warrior population has unique health challenges that our researchers are working to address
